Hiljade prosvjednika izašlo je u srijedu na ulice Praga protiv novog karantina zbog Covida zbog necijepljenih koji im zabranjuje odlazak na javna mjesta. Slovačka vlada također razmatra uvođenje slične mjere kojom bi se necijepljenim osobama zabranilo ulazak u trgovine bez nužde, trgovačke centre, teretane, bazene, hotele i masovna javna okupljanja najmanje tri tjedna nakon bilježenja 8.342 slučaja dnevno.
Slična ograničenja postoje i u njemačkoj pokrajini Bavarskoj, a nova vlada u Berlinu prijeti da će necijepljenim ljudima zabraniti odlazak na posao i putovanje javnim prijevozom na nacionalnoj razini usred onoga što kancelarka Angela Merkel naziva ‘dramatičnim’ razinama slučajeva.
Austrijska vlada nametnula je ono što su kritičari nazvali ‘medicinskim aparthejdom’, dok Italija razmišlja slijediti primjer Beča o zatvaranju necijepljenih.
A u Mađarskoj se broj dnevnih smrtnih slučajeva od Covida-19 i novih službeno zabilježenih slučajeva u srijedu popeo na najviše razine koje nisu zabilježene od pandemije prošlog proljeća. Vladine brojke pokazuju 178 smrtnih slučajeva dnevno i 10.265 novih slučajeva u zemlji s manje od 10 milijuna ljudi. Potonja brojka približila se rekordnim pandemijskim vrijednostima postavljenim u ožujku, dok je dnevni broj smrtnih slučajeva bio najveći od 1. svibnja.
Brojke odražavaju pogoršanje situacije s pandemijom u srednjoeuropskoj zemlji, koja je u proljeće imala najveću stopu smrtnosti od Covida-19 po glavi stanovnika u svijetu.
Od ostalih zemalja, Švedska je rekla da uvodi digitalni certifikat cijepljenja protiv Covid-19 za javna okupljanja i događaje s više od 100 ljudi u zatvorenom prostoru. Taj potez uslijedio je nakon sličnih koraka drugih zemalja Europske unije usred nedavnog porasta slučajeva.
‘Ovo je teška vijest za čuti. Svi želimo da pandemija prođe’, rekla je ministrica za socijalna pitanja Lena Hallengren i dodala da će certifikat biti usvojen od 1. prosinca. Švedska se i ranije isticala među europskim državama po svom relativno jednostavnom odgovoru na pandemiju.
