Zhao Lijian je objavio i snimak iz američkog Kongresa, govoreći da je nulti pacijent s virusom došao iz SAD-a. Zhao Lijian, prvi glasnogovornik Vlade Kine i zvaničnik Ministarstva vanjskih poslova, na društvenim mrežama je postavio izvještaj koji je objavila web-stranica iz Kanade koja se bavi zavjerama, a u kojem se sugeriše da je korona virus potekao iz Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. “Uzmite samo nekoliko minuta da pročitate još jedan tekst. Ranije, Zhao je objavio video sa saslušanja u Kongresu SAD-a, u kojem sugeriše da su američki centri za kontrolu i prevenciju zaraze “uhvaćeni na djelu”, govoreći da je nulti pacijent s korona virusom iz SAD-a. U jednom od tvitova, Zhao je naveo da je direktor Centra Robert Redfield priznao da su neki Amerikanci koji su, kako se činilo, preminuli od posljedica gripe, pozitivno testirani na korona virus.
