Guverner Gavin Newsom osvrnuo se na iskušenja koja će mnogi stanovnici Kalifornije imati s dolaskom toplijeg vremena.
Plaže Newport i Huntington u petak i subotu, bile su prepuno posjetitelja koji su prkosili naradbi da ostanu kod kuće zbog pandemije koronavirusa.
Policija u Pacific Groveu zatvorila je plažu Park Lovers Point jer je stvorena velika gužva i jer ljudi nisu poštovali ograničenja.
Službenici u San Diegu rekli su da su tri osobe uhapšene u Encinitasu jer su protestvovale zbog zatvaranja plaža.
Gradske plaže u Los Angelesu, kao i staze i igrališta su potpuno zatvorene, a policijski službenici redovno patroliraju na ovim područjima kako bi osigurali da se poštuju pravila distanciranja. U okrugu Volusia na Floridi otvorene su plaže za one koji žele šetati, surfati, biciklirati ili se plivati.
Upravitelj okruga George Recktenwald upozorio je ljude da se ne okupljaju u velikim skupinama.
“Ukoliko ste na plaži morate biti fizički aktivni. Nemojte sjediti ili se sunčati”, rekao je.
