Pokrenuta Inicijativa za sazivanje hitne/ tematske sjednice Gradskog vijeća
Nakon održane Skupštine NK Zvijezda Gradačac donesena je Odluka da se Gradonačelniku i Predsjedavajućem Gradskog vijeća uputi inicijativa za sazivanje hitne sjednice Gradskog vijeća sa jednom tačkom dnevnog reda „Aktuelno stanje u NK Zvijezda Gradačac i prijedlozi za prevazilaženje trenutnog stanja sa načinom funkcionisanja i finansiranja Kluba u dugoročnom periodu.

Dana 17.06.2020. godine održana je Skupština NK Zvijezda Gradačac na kojoj je donesena Odluka da se Gradonačelniku i Predsjedavajućem Gradskog vijeća uputi inicijativa za sazivanje hitne sjednice Gradskog vijeća sa jednom tačkom dnevnog reda „Aktuelno stanje u NK Zvijezda Gradačac i prijedlozi za prevazilaženje trenutnog stanja sa načinom funkcionisanja i finansiranja Kluba u dugoročnom periodu“.Sjednicu je potrebno održati u što kraćem roku (najduže u roku od 7 dana od dana održavanja Skupštine Kluba), kako bi Klub imao odrednice djelovanju pred nastupajuću sezonu.
NK Zvijezda Gradačac već duže od 6 godina funkcioniše bez generalnog sponzora, a samo takmičenje u Prvoj ligi FBiH iziskuje velika finansijska sredstva, koja nije moguće obezbjediti bez planskog načina funkcionisanja i finansiranja kluba.
Klubu je već duže vremena blokiran račun, a finasniranje ovisi od Grada Gradačac i članova Uprave kluba koji vlastitim sredstvima finansiraju Klub.Dalji rad Kluba gotovo je nemoguć bez reprograma duga zaključenog sa Poreznom upravom FBiH, za što je potrebno da Grad bude garant i da obezbjedi finansijska sredstva.U suprotnom Klub bi zbog nemogućnosti izvršenja svojih finansijskih obaveza od sljedeće sezone nastupao u najnižem rangu.
NK Zvijezda Gradačac u proteklih 10-ak godina vlastitim sredstvima finansirao je izgradnju stadiona koji je u vlasništvu Grada Gradačac, a samim tim je uvećao i vrijednost imovine Grada ( 358.000,00 KM tribina istok, 87.500,00 KM stolice, 100.000,00 KM uređenje teretane,zatim nabavka inventara u klubu, nadogradnja zapadne tribine, mjenjana podloga na glavnom terenu, pripremni radovi na drugom i trećem terenu, postavljanje ograde oko čitavog kompleksa Gradskog stadiona što u ukupno iznosi cca 2.000.000,00 KM).
NK Zvijezda Gradačac je najstariji i najpopularniji sportski klub na području Grada, koji okuplja blizu 200 omladinaca koji svaki dan treniraju i borave na stadionu, a za 2 godine obilježava 100-ti rođendan i svakako je jedan od najvećih brendova ovog Grada.
Iz svega navedenog smatramo opravdanim da se sazove hitna sjednica Gradskog vijeća Gradačac na kojem bi bila razmatrana problematika funkcionisanja i finansiranja Kluba sa prijedlogom mjera za prevazilaženje trenutne finansijske krize i određivanjem odrednica za naredni period.
