Najbogatiji čovjek na svijetu Jeff Bezos bogatiji je nego što je ikada bio. Naime, on je jučer postao prva osoba u modernoj historiji čije je bogatstvo premašilo nevjerovatnu cifru od 200 milijardi dolara.
Ova godina bila je iznimno uspješna za Amazon, te je cijena njegove dionice porasla za posto tj. za 4,9 milijardi američkih dolara. Njegovo bogatstvo trenutno je procijenjeno na 204,6 milijardi dolara što je za 90 milijardi dolara više od druge najbogatije osobe na svijetu BIl Gastesa, čije je bogatstvo procijenjeno na 116,1 milijardi dolara.
Forbes vjeruje da je Bezosovo bogatstvo najveće do sada prikupljeno. Potaknuta promjenom potrošačkih navika zbog koronavirusa, dionice Amazona su se povećale za gotovo 80 posto od početka godine.
Bezosovo bogatstvo početkom 2020. godine bilo je procijenjeno na 115 milijardi dolara. Bezosov udjel u Amazonu čini više od 90 posto njegovog bogatstva. Također posjeduje i Washington Post, aviokomaniju Blue Origin i druga privatna ulaganja.
Bezos bi bio još bogatiji da se nije razveo prošle godine. Bivšoj supruzi dao je 25 posto svoj udjela u Amazonu, a ove godine podijelio podijelio je 1,7 milijardi dolara u dobrotvorne svrhe.
Na planeti sada postoji najviše milijardera nego ikada. Bezosu, Gatesu i Zuckerbergu pridružio se i predsjednik LVMH-a Bernard Arnault.
