Oluja Filomena donijela je u dijelove Španije izuzetno velike snježne padavine, a u polovini zemlje danas je proglašen crveni meteoalarm.
U Madridu, jednom od najteže pogođenih područja, u naredna 24 sata past će novih 20 centimetara snijega, piše BBC.
Gradski aerodrom zatvoren je zajedno s brojnim putevima. U petak navečer brojna su vozila nasukana na autocesti u blizini glavnog grada.
Pozvani su vatrogasci da pomognu vozačima. U nekim područjima vojska je pozvana da pomogne u čišćenju puteva.
Vlasti su zatražile od ljudi da izbjegavaju nepotrebna putovanja.
Prema lokalnim medijima, ovo je najveći snijeg u Madridu u posjeljdnjih 40 godina. Meteorološka agencija AEMET saopćila je kako su ovo historijske snježne padavine.
Hladno vrijeme nastavit će se i nakon vikenda, a u Madridu se u četvrtak predviđa -12 stepeni.
