“Sa svim poslom koji smo uradili u proteklih deset nedjelja zadovoljstvo mi je da najavim da će najmanje 90 odsto svih odraslih moći da primi vakcinu do 19. aprila, samo tri nedjelje od danas”, rekao je Biden novinarima, te dodao da će ostalih deset odsto to moći najkasnije do 1. maja.
On je kazao da je naredio svom timu za borbu protiv koronavirusa da osigura da postoji punkt za vakcinaciju ne dalje od pet milja od ijednog odraslog građanina.
“To ćemo postići tako što ćemo umjesto na 17.000 mesta imati punktove za vakcinaciju na skoro 40.000 mesta”, kazao je Biden.
Predsjednik SAD-a je dodao da će njegova administracija dodati i još 12 federalnih punktova za vakcinaciju gdje će se davati vakcine manjinama.
On je ponovio cilj da 200 miliona doza vakcine bude administrirano do kraja njegovih prvih 100 dana od stupanja na dužnost.
Prema njegovim rečima, prvih 100 miliona je dostignuto na 60. dan obavljanja dužnosti, dok će sljedeći cilj biti dostignut za 40 dana.
