Zazivajući ime Hamasovog vrhovnog zapovjednika Deifa koji je najtraženiji na Izraleovoj listi traženih.
“Ovo je velika pobjeda nad okupacijom. Naš otpor prisilio ih je na primirje – kazao je Ahmed Amer (30) dok je slavio sa svojim prijateljima, piše Reuters.
“Žao nam je zbog ljudi koji su poginuli, zbog onih koji su izgubili svoje rođake i svoje kuće, no unatoč tome, slavit ćemo”, dodao je.
Jedan je ispalio rafal iz puške, pa kazao: “Naši su prsti na okidačima i spremni smo se opet boriti, no sada ćemo slaviti s našim narodom”.
Vatromet se vinuo nad naseljem Sheikh Jarrah u istočnom Jeruzalemu, gdje traje dugotrajna pravna bitka protiv deložacije palestinskih obitelji od strane izraelskih doseljenika što je bio ključni faktor u mobilizaciji prosvjednika u Starom gradu i šire tijekom Ramazana.
Obje su strane rekle da su “spremne uzvratiti za bilo kakva kršenja primirja”.
