Schmidt od danas zvanično visoki predstavnik: Oni koji istresaju svoj bijes, neka znaju da sam iskusan
Nijemac Christian Schmidt danas je zvanično naslijedio Valentina Inzka i preuzeo dužnost visokog predstavnika međunarodne zajednice u Bosni i Hercegovini.
Schmidt je u našu zemlju doputovao prije dva dana boraveći u Hercegovini, da bi jučer u popodnevnim satima stigao u glavni grad Bosne i Hercegovine.
Schmidta ovdje dočekuje poprilično uzavrela atmosfera zbog reakcija koja dolaze uglavnom iz bh. entiteta Republika Srpska, gdje osim što ne priznaju Schmidta kao visokog predstavnika, šalju žestoke poruke iz entitetskih institucija zbog zakona o zabrani negiranja genocida koji je nametnuo sada već bivši šef OHR-a Valentin Inzko.
Tim povodom, Schmidt je poručio da je političar već 30 godina, te da zna raditi i ophoditi se sa suprotnim i drugačijim mišljenjima.
– Svima onima koji se sada pokušavaju pozicionirati ili možda žele istresti svoj bijes, želim reći da sam relativno iskusan i da sam štošta doživio. To će sigurno dovesti do toga da ne posustanem i ne izgubim volju u zalaganju za BiH. I da je moj zahtjev i apel da razgovaram sa svima – kazao je Schmidta u nedavnom razgovoru za DW.
On je direktan izbor njemačke kancelarke Angele Merkel, a također uživa podršku ostalih zapadnih zemalja, uključujući i Sjedinjene Američke Države.
Schmidt je rođen 1957. godine u Obernzennu, oženjen je i otac je dvoje djece. Iza njega je poprilično bogata politička karijera. Obnašao je funkciju saveznog ministra, člana njemačkog Bundestaga, člana parlamentarne Komisije za vanjske poslove i izvjestilac za zemlje Zapadnog Balkana, a bio je i potpredsjednik CSU-a od 2011. do 2017. godine.
