Ovaj duel za Zmajave nema nikakvog rezultatskog značaja, dok je za goste veoma važan, jer pobjedom, uz poraz Finske od Francuske u Helsinkiju, mogu do drugog mjesta u grupi D i plasmana u baraž.
Stoga će biti zanimljivo vidjeti na koji način će se demotivisani izabranici Ivayla Peteva u Zenici suprotstaviti itekako motivisanom protivniku, koji uz to i neosporno ima kvalitet.
– Dvije stvari su bitne koje želim od igrača, a to je želja i borba za pobjedu. To su dvije ključne stvari. Moramo pokazati karakter koji smo pokazali u prethodnim utakmicama, osim protiv Finaca – rekao je Petev, dodavši:
– Moramo analizirati gdje smo griješili i na koji način ćemo raditi u budućnosti. Najvažnije je da sutra odigramo dobro i odgovorno. Moramo nastaviti raditi kako bismo napredovali iz dana u dan. I ovi igrači će u narednom ciklusu biti iskusniji. Moramo izvući pouke iz svega.
Petev je na jučerašnjoj presici najavio kombinovani sastav, a za BiH bi od prve minute mogli zaigrati: Šehić (Pirić), Ahmedhodžić, Hadžikadunić, Saničanin (Kovačević), Sušić, Ćivić, Menalo, Nalić, Prcić, Demirović i Kodro.
Oleksandr Petrakov, selektor Ukrajine, već ranije je kazao da će utakmica na Bilinom polju za njegove izabranike biti “meč godine”, te da je uvjeren da mogu ostvariti pozitivan rezultat i izboriti baraž.
Sada je takvo mišljenje limitirano i rezultatom utakmice između Finske i Francuske.
– Ovo će nama biti teška utakmica, pogotovo što ćemo i mi imati kombinovani sastav, kao i domaćini, kod kojih će biti mladi igrači što se žele dokazati. Tako da zaista mislim da će nam biti teško da igramo – kazao je Petrakov.
Meč na Bilinom polju počinje u 20.45 sati, a glavni sudija je Antonio Mateu Lahoz iz Španije.
