Nakon višesatne potrage za njim, Kasumović se u Sarajevu predao pripadnicima SIPA-e, nakon čega su ga lišili slobode po naredbi Kantonalnog tužilaštva iz Zenice. U okrivu istrage u slučaju Zenicatrans, SIPA je u srijedu ujutro pretresla 11 objekata na području Ze-Do kantona. Među pretresenim objektima je i kuća gradonačelnika Zenice Fuada Kasumovića.
Policijski službenici SIPA-e danas su započeli pretrese na 11 lokacija na području Zenice, zbog postojanja osnova sumnje da su počinjena krivična djela organizovanog kriminala, zloupotrebe položaja ili ovlasti, oštećenja povjerilaca, prouzrokovanja stečaja i nesavjesnog rada u službi”, saopćeno je ranije iz Državne agencije za istrage i zaštitu SIPA.
Nekoliko medija je objavilo da je uhapšen Fuad Kasumović, ali je Tužilaštvo Ze-Do kantona saopćilo da je gradonačelnik Zenice u bjekstvu.
“Ovog trenutka nalazim se u pratnji policijskih službenika koji samo ispunjavaju zadatke koje su pred njih postavili kriminalna SDA i kriminalni dijelovi Tužilaštva Moje spektakularno i filmsko privođenje, režirali su bolesni umovi među kojima ima kvarnih političara, tužilaca i novinara na čije sam Vas djelovanje u ovih pet godina bezbroj puta upozoravao”, napisao je na Facebooku Fuad Kasumović.
No, gradonačelnik Zenice je uhapšen tek nešto kasnije. Prethodno je nekoliko puta obećao pripadnicima SIPA-e da će se “uskoro predati”.
