Oružanim snagama BiH isporučena četiri američka vojna helikoptera
Bosni i Hercegovini jutros su isporučena četiri američka vojna helikoptera Bell Huey II.Ovu informaciju za Klix.ba je načelnik Zajedničkog štaba Oružanih snaga Bosne i Hercegovine (OS BiH) Senad Mašović koji je prisustvovao isporuci letjelica. Helikopteri su iz Alabame transportovani avionom Antonov na Međunarodni aerodrom Sarajevo.
Iz Ministarstva odbrane Bosne i Hercegovine su krajem prošlog mjeseca saopćili da je riječ o helikopterima “UH-1H-II” ukupne vrijednosti 38.539.378 dolara, od čega je Bosna i Heregovina uplatila s 4.360.000 dolara, tj. 7,5 miliona KM. Ostatak novca su osigurale Sjedinjene Američke Države kroz program pomoći prijateljskim državama. Ugovor o nabavci je potpisan u decembru 2019.
U Ministarstvu odbrane su istakli da su ovo višenamjenski helikopteri. Osigurana je obuka pilota i tehničara te oprema i alat za održavanje. Iz OS BiH su poručili da će ovom nabavkom moći nastaviti još bolje izvršavati zadaće zračnog prijevoza, medicinske evakuacije, gašenja požara, traganja i spašavanja, kao i ostale aktivnosti u ispunjavanju njihovih glavnih misija. Naglasili su da se već danas može očekivati povećana aktivnost helikoptera u zoni Sarajeva.
Prema podacima kompanije Bell, više od 300 helikoptera Huey II je u posjedu 14 država s više od 1,2 miliona sati leta u vojnim i drugim misijama.
