Novi vojni budžet SAD-a 777 milijardi dolara, znatno više nego tokom Trumpovog mandata
Američki predsjednik Joe Biden potpisao je budžet za vojsku koji iznosi 777 milijardi dolara. Iznimno visokom budžetu usprotivili su se ljevičarski političari i antiratne grupe koje traže da se što manje novca troši na vojsku.
Budžet je potpisan 27. decembra, a nakon što je podržan u Kongresu. U Bijeloj kući su zahvalni što su i Demokratska i Republikanska stranka podržale budžet.
Odlukom kongresmena je izdvojeno 24 milijarde dolara više u ovu svrhu, u odnosu na iznos koji je predložio predsjednik Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. Iz Bijele kuće je poručeno da Biden nije imao razlog da se usprotivi povećanju.
Posljednje put najviše novca za vojsku je izdvojeno u posljednjoj godini predsjedničkog mandata Donalda Trumpa – 740 milijardi dolara. Sada taj budžet iznosi znatno više – 777 milijardi dolara.
Sjedinjene Američke Države ubjedljivo najviše troše za vojne potrebe, u odnosu na sve ostale države u svijetu. Vojni budžet SAD-a je trostruko veći od kineskog. Najmnogoljudnija država na svijetu ima drugi najveći vojni budžet, prenosi Al Jazeera English.
