Član izraelskog ‘stožera’ očekuje brzo ukidanje propusnica, ispričao se zbog zatvaranja škola
U velikom razgovoru za Unherd, Cyrille Cohen, jedan od savjetnika izraelske vlade za pitanje cijepljenja i šef katedre za imunologiju na sveučilištu Bar Ilan, izjavio je da su zelene propusnice u vremenu dominacije omikrona postale “irelevantne” te da očekuje njihovo skoro ukidanje.
– Kada je riječ o omikronu, razlike među cijepljenima i necijepljenima u smislu prijenosa virusa gotovo nema, svi se mogu zaraziti manje-više jednako, izjavio je priznajući da su zelene propusnice dobrim dijelom uvedene zapravo kao poticaj na cijepljenje.
– Morate shvatiti da zelene propusnice, a to nije tajna, nisu nužno tu samo kako bi spriječile transmisiju virusa. One su tu i da ohrabre ljude na cijepljenje. I ne bih sada htio govoriti o političkim aspektima, ali to vam je realnost, kazao je Cohen.
On i njegovi kolege su, kaže, razočarani što cjepiva ipak ne zaustavljaju prijenos virusa kao što su se na početku nadali. Oprezno predviđa da bi u budućnosti covid mogao biti poput gripe, s lakšim i težim sezonama, a da bi do te endemske faze most mogao biti upravo omikron soj.
Kada je riječ o izraelskoj strategiji borbe protiv koronavirusa, smatra da nije bilo puno pogrešaka, ali da je jedna ipak bila velika te se zbog nje i ispričao, a to je zatvaranje škola, odnosno prelazak na online nastavu.
