“Mislim da se utakmica u tom slučaju ne bi odigrala u Rusiji, vjerovatno bi FIFA odlučila da se igra na nekom neutralnom terenu”, rekao je između ostalog na pitanje o tome što će se dogoditi ako Rusija napadne Ukrajinu pa dodao:
“Ne mislim da će Rusiju izbaciti sa Svjetskog prvenstva zbog toga, s obzirom na to da je u povijesti već bilo slučajeva da je Rusija napadala Donbas i dio Ukrajine. Tada isto nije bilo sankcija, ne bi ih trebalo biti ni sada.”
Novinar Kanał Sportowyja Krzysztof Stanowski smatra da bi poljski fudbaleri trebali bojkotirati utakmicu baraža u Moskvi, a s njim se slaže još nekoliko kolega iz poljskih sportskih medija.
“Smatram da 24. marta ne bismo trebali ići u Moskvu. No vjerovatno bi to čak trebala biti odluka od državnog značaja, koja daleko nadilazi nadležnosti Poljskog fudbalskog saveza”, napisao je.
