Stoltenberg: BiH je ugrožena namjerama Rusije da proširi sferu utjecaja, NATO mora pomoći
SIGURNOSNA PITANJA
Po završetku današnjeg vanrednog sastanka ministara vanjskih poslova NATO saveza generalni sekretar Jens Stoltenberg izjavio je da je Bosna i Hercegovina zajedno s Gruzijom ugrožena željom Rusije da proširi sferu utjecaja.
Na početku je kazao da NATO i cijeli svijet osuđuju rusku brutalnu agresiju na Ukrajinu.
“Ovo je najgora vojna agresija u Evropi u posljednjih nekoliko decenija”, rekao je Stoltenberg.
Dodao je da će dani koji dolaze vjerovatno biti mnogo gori nego što smo do sada vidjeli.
“S više mrtvih, više patnje i više uništavanja”, rekao je Stoltenberg.
Istakao je da će Rusija platiti veoma visoku cijenu i da je ovo “Putinov rat”, onaj koji je on odabrao, planirao i poveo ga protiv miroljubive zemlje.
“Osnažili smo svoje snage na moru, kopnu i u zraku. Saveznici su poslali još hiljade trupa na istočne granice i prvi put aktiviramo NATO snage za brzo djelovanje. Imamo više od 130 aviona u stanju visoke pripravnosti, kao i 200 brodova od sjevera do Sredozemlja. Nastojat ćemo zaštititi svaki pedalj svoje teritorije”, rekao je Stoltenberg.
U nastavku je spomenuo i našu zemlju.
“NATO je odbrambeni savez. Naš osnovni zadatak jeste da očuvamo sigurnost naših 30 nacija. Mi nismo dio ovog konflikta i imamo odgovornost da osiguramo da se konflikt ne proširi izvan Ukrajine”, istakao je Stoltenberg.
Dodao je da bi to predstavljalo dodatnu eskalaciju i odnijelo puno više života. Istakao je da Rusija nastoji proširiti sferu utjecaja i spriječiti države da izaberu svoj put.
“Zato su ministri diskutovali o tome da podrže partnere koji su izloženi takvom riziku, uključujući Gruziju i Bosnu i Hercegovinu”, rekao je Stoltenberg.
“NATO saveznici godinama osiguravaju pomoć Gruziji i BiH i ostalim partnerima. Nismo donijeli konačnu odluku, ali postoji široko uvjerenje da moramo učiniti više da podržimo ove zemlje. Ojačati njihovu odbranu i sigurnosne institucije, reforme, trening, ali i potencijalno proširiti aktivnosti u podršci ovim zemljama. Zbog onog što smo vidjeli u Ukrajini, ove zemlje su možda izložene riziku, izložene dodatnim subverzijama”, rekao je Stoltenberg.
Dodao je da je ruska agresija stvorila novu realnost gdje su fundamentalni principi ugroženi silom i suočeni smo s konfliktom u godinama koje dolaze.
