Generalna skupština Ujedinjenih nacija glasat će danas o prijedlogu SAD da se Rusija suspendira iz Vijeća UN-a za ljudska prava zbog izvještaja o grubom i sistematskom kršenju ljudskih prava u invaziji na Ukrajinu.
Za suspenziju Rusije potrebno je da glasa dvije trećine od 47 članica Vijeća, a u taj procent se ne računaju suzdržane zemlje.
Rusija je upozorila zemlje da će glasanje “za” i suzdržanost biti ocijenjeno kao “neprijateljski postupak” sa posljedicama po bilateralne odnose.
Zapadne diplomate vjeruju su da imaju dovoljnu podršku među 193 članice Generalne skupštine da se usvoji rezolucija o suspendovanju Moskve.
U nacrtu teksta izražena je velika zabrinutost zbog humanitarne i krize ljudskih prava u Ukrajini.
Generalna skupština UN do sada je usvojila dvije rezolucije u kojima se Rusija osuđuje zbog invazije na Ukrajinu. Sjednica je planirana u 16 sati.
