Američki senatori danas u BiH, u Srbiji prenijeli jasne poruke Vučiću
Američka dvostranačka kongresna delegacija stiže danas u Bosnu i Hercegovinu u sklopu posjete Balkanu.
Zvanično je objavljeno kako će delegaciju Kongresa SAD-a u 11.30 sati primiti članovi Predsjedništva BiH.
Delegaciju predvodi senatorica Jeanne Shaheen (demokrata), predsjednica Senatskog pododbora za vanjske odnose za Evropu i regionalnu sigurnosnu saradnju i viša članica Senatskog odbora za oružane snage. Uz nju, delegaciju čine senatori Chris Murphy (demokrata) i Thom Tillis (republikanac).
Sastanak s Vučićem
Oni su se jučer u Beogradu sastali sa predsjednikom Srbije Aleksandrom Vučićem, a na konferenciji za novinare nakon sastanka poručili su da Srbija mora da uskladi svoju vanjsku politiku s Evropskom unijom. Oni su naglasili da je u ovom historijskom trenutku važno da sve demokratske zemlje Evrope pošalju jasnu poruku Rusiji i pozovu je na odgovornost.
Senatorka Shaheen izjavila je da su na sastanku s Vučićem razgovarali i o uvođenju sankcija od strane Srbije prema Rusiji.
– Razgovarali smo o tome i sigurna sam da ćemo nastaviti da razgovaramo, mislim da smo izložili slučaj – rekla je senatorka.
Senator Murphy je na pitanje RSE zbog čega bi Srbija trebalo da uvede sankcije Rusiji rekao da su Vučiću na sastanku istog dana “prenijeli nadu” da će politički i ekonomski odnosi Srbije i SAD-a “biti još jači”, ali i shvatanja o invaziji Rusije na Ukrajinu, odnosno “grubom kršenju međunarodnih normi”.
– Nadamo se da ćemo moći da budemo uz Srbiju narednih nedjelja i mjeseci, da pošaljemo tu jasnu poruku Rusiji. Ovo je prekretnica ne samo za Evropu, nego za cijeli svijet. Ako demokratske zemlje svijeta sada nisu zajedno, onda će to ostaviti otvorena vrata drugim velikim državama da isto to učine u drugim dijelovima svijeta – naveo je Murphy.
Dolazak u BiH
U sklopu dolaska na Balkan, senatori posjećuju Srbiju, Bosnu i Hercegovinu i Kosovo. Senatori Shaheen i Tillis također su i kopredsjedavajući NATO posmatračke grupe Senata.
Kako je saopštio ured senatorice Shaheen, delegacija će prenijeti nastavak američke podrške saveznicima u jeku ruske invazije na Ukrajinu i podršku Zapadnom Balkanu u evropskim integracijama.
– Naša dvostranačka delegacija putuje na Balkan u ključnom trenutku za Evropu. Potvrda američke podrške našim partnerima na Balkanu je posebno značajna, jer doživljavamo najneizvjesniju vojnu situaciju u Evropi od Drugog svjetskog rata.
Moramo nastaviti da podržavamo balkanske narode na njihovim demokratskim putevima i ohrabrujemo njihov put ka evropskim integracijama – rekla je senatorica Shaheen.
Posjeta Bosni i Hercegovini dolazi u trenutku velike političke krize i nekoliko dana nakon što se Britanija pridružila Sjedinjenim Državama i sankcionisala Milorada Dodika, člana Predsjedništva BiH i predsjednika SNSD-a, vladajuće stranke u entitetu RS, kao i Željku Cvijanović, entitetsku predsjednicu.
Sankcionisani su, kako je saopštila Britanska ambasada u Sarajevu, zbog narušavanja legitimiteta i funkcionalnosti Bosne i Hercegovine. Početkom godine, Sjedinjene Države su još jednom sankcionisale Dodika, ovaj put zbog korupcije. A Dodik se pod američkim sankcijama nalazi od 2017. zbog opstrukcije Dejtonskog mirovnog sporazuma.
Balkan ključan
– Balkan je region koji je ključan za evropsku sigurnost i moramo da nastavimo našu snažnu saradnju sa našim partnerima dok Rusija nastavlja svoj ilegalni rat protiv Ukrajine i prijeti članicama NATO-a – rekao je senator Tilis, navedeno je u saopštenju za javnost ureda senatorice Shaheen.
Senator Murphy je naveo da je potrebno pažnju obratiti “na druge dijelove Evrope koji bi mogli biti ranjivi na rusko uplitanje ako Putin traži druge načine da oslabi Zapad”.
– Putin već dugo navija za one koji nastoje da potkopaju jedinstvo i teritorijalni integritet na Balkanu i ne bi volio ništa više nego da vidi kako se te podjele produbljuju – smatra Murphy.
Shaheen i Murphy bili su među senatorima koji su prošlog mjeseca inicirali rezoluciju kojom se još jednom potvrđuje američka podrška Bosni i Hercegovini.
Nakon Balkana, kongresmeni putuju za Brisel, gdje će posjetiti NATO.
