Liverpool juriša na deseto finale, Villarreal se nada prvom
Fudbaleri Liverpoola večeras na Anfieldu dočekuju Villarreal u prvoj polufinalnoj utakmici Lige prvaka.
Liverpool je u četvrtfinalu savladao Benficu sa ukupnim rezultatom 6:4 i osigurao plasman u polufinale, dok je Villarreal priredio iznenađenje u dva meča pobijedivši Bayern Munchen 2:1.
“Redsi” u ovom meču imaju status favorita jer su u grupnoj fazi takmičenja osvojili maksimalan broj bodova i do sada su postigli 25 pogodaka, što je najviše nakon Bayern Munchena i Manchester Cityja.
Pobjedama nad Juventusom i Bayernom “Žuta podmornica” pokazala je da se nije slučajno našla među četiri najbolje evropske ekipe, te će tražiti priliku za plasman u svoje prvo finale Lige prvaka u klupskoj historiji.
Engleski tim je nastupio u devet finala u kojima je šest puta podizao trofej, što je najviše nakon Real Madrida i Milana koji imaju 13, odnosno sedam trofeja u najjačem evropskom klupskom takmičenju. Pobjedu u svome posljednjem finalu 2019. godine Liverpool je slavio protiv Tottenhama 2:0, a sezonu ranije u finalnom susretu savladao ih je Real Madrid rezultatom 3:1.
Najveću prijetnju za Villarreal predstavlja napadački trojac Liverpoola koji predvodi Mohammed Salah koji je četvrti strijelac Lige prvaka sa osam pogodaka.
Uzdanica španskog tima su Arnaut Danjume koji je njihov najbolji strijelac ove sezone u Ligi prvaka sa šest pogodaka i Gerard Moreno koji je podijelio četiri asistencije od kojih je jednu upisao protiv “Bavaraca”.
Ovo nije samo susret velikih timova već i velikih trenera – Unai Emeryja i Jurgena Kloppa.
Emery je ostvario velike uspjehe u evropskim takmičenjima u kojima je sa Sevillom tri puta uzastopno osvojio Evropsku ligu, a prošlosezonskom pobjedom Villarreala nad Manchester Unitedom u penal seriji sa 11-10 donio je na El Madrigal prvi evropski trofej. Španski stručnjak je vodio ekipe u pet finalnih mečeva Evropske lige od kojih je poražen samo 2019. godine sa Arsenalom protiv kojeg je Chelsea slavio rezultatom 4:1.
Klopp će svojim napadačkim fudbalom pokušati osvojiti sa Liverpulom drugu titulu evropskog prvaka. Nijemac je u četiri finala evropskih takmičenja ostvario jednu pobjedu sa Liverpulom 2019. godine, dok je bio neuspješan protiv Real Madrida u finalu Lige prvaka 2018. godine i Seville u finalu Evropske lige 2016. godine. Također, kao trener Borussije Dortmund poražen je u finalu Lige prvaka 2013. od Bayerna.
Ekipe Liverpoola i Villarreala sastajale su se dva puta u polufinalu Evropske lige u sezoni 2015./2016. u kojem su obje ekipe slavile pobjede, ali se Liverpool zahvaljujući boljoj gol razlici plasirao u finale. Prvi meč Villareal je slavio na El Madrigalu sa 1:0, dok je u revanšu na Anfieldu Liverpool bio uvjerljiv sa 3:0.
Utakmica između Liverpoola i Villareala igra se od 21 sat na Anfieldu, a revanš je na rasporedu 3. maja na El Madrigalu.
Polufinalni susret između Manchester Cityja i Real Madrida, u utorak u Manchesteru završen je pobjedom engleskog tima 4:3, a revanš će biti odigran 4. maja na stadionu Santiago Bernabeu u Madridu.
