SIPA u Sarajevu uhapsila generala Ramiza Drekovića
Akcija SIPA-e, uhapšen general Armije Republike BiH Ramiz Dreković
Ratni komandant 5. Korpusa general Ramiz Dreković uhapšen je jutros u Sarajevu.
Ovo je za N1 potvrdio njegov advokat Kadrija Kolić. Kako nam je kazao, Drekovića su jutros u njegovom stanu uhapsili pripadnici Agencije za istrage i zaštitu, a po nalogu Tužilaštva BiH u njegovom stanu.
Nalazi se u prostorijama SIPA-e, naveo je Kolić u izjavi za N1.
Dreković je početkom 1992. godine preuzeo dužnost komandanta Opštinskog štaba TO i na toj dužnosti ostao do kraja augusta 1992. godine kada je postao komandant novoformirane Unsko-sanske operativne grupe. Formiranjem Petog korpusa, a prema naredbi Štaba vrhovne komande OS Republike BiH od 14. oktobra 1992. godine postavljen je na formacijsko mjesto komandanta korpusa. Prema odluci Predsjedništva RBiH od 14. decembra 1993. godine unaprijeđen je u čin brigadnog generala.
Podsjećamo, Peti korpus bio je jedan od ukupno sedam korpusa u Armiji RBiH, a formiran je na slobodnoj teritoriji sjeverozapadne Bosne, odnosno Cazinske krajine. Komanda korpusa nalazila se u Bihaću, a zona odgovornosti obuhvatala je skoro kompletnu Krajinu.
Tokom cijelog rata korpus je djelovao u teškim uslovima, u potpunom okruženju, suprotstavljajući se dvostrukom, a u jednom periodu i trostrukom neprijatelju. Na dan formiranja Peti korpus je u svom sastavu imao sedam brigada, a naredbom Predsjedništva BiH njegovi komandanti tokom rata bili su generali Ramiz Dreković i Atif Dudaković.
Odlukom Predsjedništva RBiH Dreković je 19. januara 1994. godine preuzeo Četvrti korpus Armije RBiH. Nakon komandovanja Četvrtim korpusom obavlja i poslove načelnika Uprave za politička pitanja Generalštaba Armije RBiH. Na 5. godišnjicu formiranja Armije RBiH, 15. aprila 1997. godine, unaprijeđen je u čin divizijskog generala (generalmajora).
Dreković je nakon penzionisanja bio savjetnik nekadašnjeg premijera FBiH Nedžada Brankovića, a nakon toga i savjetnik federalnog ministra za pitanja boraca i invalida odbrambeno-oslobodilačkog rata Salke Bukvarevića.
