Ambasada SAD-a odgvorila je na upit N1 nakon propalih pregovora političkih lidera o izbornoj reformi.
“Na kraju vikenda imali smo paket reformi uz pomoć kojih bi se provele presude Evropskog suda za ljudska prava i omogućilo svim građanima BiH da se kandiduju za najviše funkcije u ovoj zemlji, povećao nivo transparentnosti i integriteta izbornog procesa, te unaprijedila funkcionalnost Federacije. Nažalost, SDA i HDZ nisu postigle kompromis neophodan za finaliziranje ovog sporazuma.” stoji u odgovoru Ambasade SAD-a na upit N1.
“Sada je na liderima ove zemlje da grade na ovim temeljima i pronađu hrabrosti da postignu kompromise koje nisu dosad, a koji moraju biti prihvaćeni u Parlamentu.
Politički lideri također moraju udvostručiti svoje napore na usvajanju mjera koje se odnose na integritet izbornog procesa što njihovi građani zahtijevaju.
Slobodni i pošteni izbori osnovno su demokratsko pravo svih građana. SAD vjeruju da se ovogodišnji izbori moraju održati na vrijeme.” rekli su nam i Ambasade SAD-a.
