Stranka njemačke kancelarke Angele Merkel danas bira njenog nasljednika.
U trci za to mjesto, koje može voditi i do preuzimanja mjesta šefa njemačke vlade, su bivši ministar zaštite životne sredine Norbert Retgen, nekadašnji šef poslaničkog kluba CDU Fridrih Merc i aktuelni premijer pokrajine Sjeverne Rajne Vestfalije Armin Lašet.
Merkel je u uvodnom obraćanju na stranačkoj konvenciji pozvala na jedinstvo članova stranke i poručila kako želi da stranku dalje vodi tim, a ne pojedinac.
– Nadam se da će biti izabran tim koji će u svoje ruke preuzeti sudbinu naše ponosne stranke i sarađivati sa svim članovima kako bi se pronašli pravi odgovori na zadatke budućnosti – rekla je njemačka kancelarka.
Konačan rezultat će biti proglašen u petak.
