Bosanska Posavina: Brojanje i popisivanje ptica močvarnica i drugih zaštićenih ptičijih vrsta
Članovi društva za istraživanje i zaštitu biodiverziteta iz Banja Luke, počeli su ovogodišnje zimsko prebrojavanje i popisivanje ptica močvarica i drugih zaštićenih ptičijih vrsta na području Bosanske Posavine.
U sklopu ovih aktivnosti oni su na području općine Šamac izvršili brojanje ptica močvarica na barama Odmut i Tišina, ušću rijeke Bosne u Savu te zimujućih jata sove male ušare u gradskom parku u Šamcu, piše Fena.
“Šamac je najveće zimovalište sove male ušare u Bosanskoj Posavini. Ove godine evidentirali smo oko 70 jedinki što je nešto manji broj nego proteklih godina kada se on kretao između 100 i 150 jedinki”, kazao je u izjavi za Fenu, ornitolog Jovica Sjenčić.
Dodao je kako uznemiravanje, trovanje pesticidima ali i krivolov mogu biti faktori smanjenja ove ptičije populacije.
Istaknuo je da je na području općine Domaljevac zabilježen krivolov ove zaštićene vrste i da su o svemu obavijestili policiju i inspekcijsku službu.
“Ova izuzetno korisna ptičija vrsta zaštićena je zakonima o lovstu i zakonima o zaštiti prirode u oba bh. entiteta”, istaknuo je Sjenčić.
Ustvrdio je da se radi o veoma korisnoj vrsti za čovjeka i poljoprivredu koja se hrani uglavnom glodavcima te da jedan par sova male ušare, tijekom jedne godine, može da pojede oko 10.000 glodavaca.
