Britanci ulažu još 250 mil. dolara u istraživanje olova, cinka i zlata u BiH
BRITANSKA kompanija Adriatic Metals najavila je ulaganja od 250 milijuna dolara u sljedećih godinu i pol dana u modernizaciju rudnika kod Vareša u središnjoj Bosni, koji su se pokazali bogatim nalazištima olova, cinka, bakra i barita, ali i plemenitih metala zlata i srebra.
Kako je saopćeno nakon susreta premijera Federacije BiH Fadila Novalića s izaslanstvom kompanije Adriatic Metals, na čelu sa šefom korporativnih poslova Dominicom Robertsom, predstavljeni su ambiciozni planovi koji predstavljaju ranije početi nastavak ulaganja.
Dosad uložili više od 100 milijuna dolara
Britanska kompanija već nekoliko godina provodi probna iskopavanja na području oko rudarskog grada Vareša.
Rezultati s rudokopa na lokalitetima Veovača i Rupice pokazali su se iznimno ohrabrujućim budući da su pronađene značajne količine olova, cinka, bakra, barita, zlata i srebra.
Do sada je Adriatic Metals putem svoje podružnice u BiH Eastern Mining u rudnike u Varešu uložio više od 100 milijuna dolara.

Premijer Federacije BiH iskazao je podršku nastavku istraživanja oko Vareša, ističući da je Adriatic Metals među najvećim investitorima u BiH.
“Podržavamo ovaj značajan projekt kompanije, koji uz sve pozitivne ekonomske učinke nudi i novu perspektivu ne samo za građane Vareša već i cijele Zeničko-dobojske županije i Federacije BiH”, rekao je premijer Novalić.
Projekt Vareš, prema objašnjenju iz kompanije Eastern Mining, sastoji se od dva istražna lokaliteta, Veovača i Rupice, na kojima su ranije eksploatirani olovo, cink i barit. Pogon je prestao s radom prije početka ratnih djelovanja, početkom 1990-ih.
