Predstavnica Velike Britanije u Vijeću sigurnosti UN-a Barbara Woodward, u svom obraćanju na današnjoj sjednici ovog tijela rekla je da su duboko uznemireni situacijom u kojoj se BiH nalazi posljednjih nekoliko mjeseci.”Pozdravljam rezoluciju kojom se produžava misija EUFOR-a. Ovo je od ključne važnosti za visokog predstavnika Christiana Schmidta kako bi imao pomoć u izvršavanju svojih dužnosti u Bosni i Hercegovini. Iako gospodin Schmidt nije ovdje s nama danas želimo mu se zahvaliti na njegovom radu. Radujemo se njegovom povratku na narednim sjednicama”, kazala je predstavnica Velike Britanije.

Dodala je da se Bosna i Hercegovina nalazi u najvećoj egzistencijalnoj krizi od potpisivanja Detonskog sporazuma.

“Za ovo su najviše odgovorni predstavnici bh. entiteta Republika Srpska. Pokrenuli su aktivnosti koje uključuju uspostavu vojske ovog entiteta. Ovi potezi vode u otcjepljenje. Sve ovo prijeti samom Dejtonskom sporazumu. Vitalnije je nego ikad da se EUFOR uključi. Velika Britanija daje punu podršku Schmidtu i u upotrebi bonskih ovlasti ako situacija to bude zahtjevala. Kompletiranje agende 5+2 je jedina mogućnost da se zatvori OHR”, poručila je britanska predstavnica.

Zaključila je da kao članica Vijeća sigurnosti Velika Britanija ostaje posvećena u svojoj podršci suvereniteta, teritorijalnog integriteta i svijetle budućnosti BiH.
