“Brzi odgovor 21”: Američki vojnici danas stižu u Sarajevo
Na Međunarodnom aerodromu Sarajevo danas će biti upriličen doček američkih vojnika koji je biti učesnici vježbe “Brzi odgovor 21”.
Dočekat će ih ministar odbrane Bosne u Hercegovine Sifet Podžić, ambasador SAD-a u BiH Eric Nelson, zamjenik načelnika Zajedničkog štaba Oružanih snaga BiH brigadni general Ivica Jerkić i komandant Štaba NATO-a u Sarajevu američki brigadni general Erik Folkestad.
Vježbu “Brzi odgovor 21”, kojom rukovodi zapovjedništvo američke vojske za Evropu i Afriku (USUCOM), dio je velikih vojnih manevara koji se ove godine odvijaju na cijelom Starom kontinentu, s ciljem uvježbavanja odbrane Evrope, odnosno odvraćanja od moguće agresije. U tim vježbama planirano je učešće 28.000 vojnika iz 26 država koje su članice NATO-a, ali i onih koje su aspiranti uza članstvo, poput Bosne i Hercegovine.
Vježba “Brzi odgovor 21” je glavni događaj u 2021. godini iz oblasti obuke za Oružane snage Bosne i Hercegovine, a provodit će se na poligonima za obuku Oružanih snaga BiH Manjača i Glamoč, te na lokaciji kasarne i aerodroma “Dubrave”.
Podsjetimo da je jedan broj ljudstva i opreme već stigao u BiH. Između ostalog, konvoj američkih teških kamiona u srijedu je prošao kroz Banju Luku na putu ka Manjači.
Ova vježba za Oružane snage Bosne i Hercegovine je od velikog značaja jer će skupa sa američkim kolegama biti u prilici da zajedno provježbavaju aktivnosti na očuvanju mira bilo gdje u svijetu.
Vježba “Brzi odgovor 21” počinje 17.maja i trajat će do 2. juna 2021 godine.
