Chollet: SAD “istražuje sve opcije” o slanju vojske u BiH

Specijalni savjetnik državnog sekretara Sjedinjenih Američkih Država Derek Chollet izjavio je za Guardian da posebna sjednica Narodne Skupštine Republike Srpske predstavlja “značajan korak ka secesiji” te da, što se tiče međunarodnog vojnog prisustva u BiH, SAD “istražuje sve opcije”.

Derek Chollet, viši savjetnik državnog sekretara Antonyja Blinkena, govorio je za Guardian uoči posebne sjednice Narodne skupštine Republike Srpske gdje će poslanici glasati o tome da li da entitet započne proces istupanja iz vojske, pravosuđa i poreskog sistema BiH.

“Ovakvi koraci, na koje poziva nacionalistički lider Milorad Dodik, predstavljali bi značajan korak ka secesiji. Vjerovatno će doći do šestomjesečnog čekanja prije nego što odluke skupštine stupe na snagu, ali bi glasanje moglo započeti otkucavanje sata prema mogućem povratku sukoba”, stoji u članku.

Navodi se da je Chollet posjetio prošlog mjeseca BiH u sklopu “diplomatske ofanzive” Bidenove administracije da se pozabavi dugotrajnim problemima i prijetnjama Milorada Dodika da će uspostaviti vojsku RS.

“Zaista smo pokušali da ubrzamo neke od naših diplomatskih napora da pokušamo da ovo vratimo sa litice”, rekao je Chollet za Guardian, te dodao da 26 godina nakon potpisivanja Dejtonskog mirovnog sporazuma u BiH govori o potencijalnom povratku u sukob ili velikoj krizi “što nas duboko zabrinjava.”

U članku se navodi da je Vojska RS provodila etničko čišćenje u BiH tokom rata, te opsadu Sarajeva koja je trajala skoro četiri godine i uništenje Srebrenice, “sigurne zone” Ujedinjenih Nacija.

Chollet je rekao da je predao pismo koje je američki državni sekretar Antony Blinken uputio bosanskim liderima, naglašavajući da je mir u BiH prioritet za administraciju.

“Ovo je pitanje s kojim se mnogi ljudi u ovoj administraciji, od predsjednika Bidena pa naniže, dugo povezuju i lično imaju jake stavove o njemu”, rekao je.

Blinkenovo pismo također sadrži prijetnju sankcijama političkim liderima koji prijete miru u BiH, a Dodik, “glavna meta te prijetnje,” izjavio je da ga nije briga za sankcije. Međutim, Chollet je izjavio da vjeruje da one ipak mogu imati uticaja.

“Mislim da smo vidjeli neke dokaze da poluga koju imamo, koja uključuje politike poput sankcija, može biti efikasna u oblikovanju ponašanja”, rekao je.

Što se tiče mogućnosti jačanja međunarodnog vojnog prisustva u BiH, koje sada čini samo nekoliko stotina vojnika EU, Chollet je rekao da ne želi da komentariše unaprijed ali je izjavio da “istražuju sve opcije”.
