Djevojka rođena u Gradačcu osvojila treće mjesto na Svjetskom klupskom prvenstvu
Odbojkašice Vakifbanka su u meču za treće mjesto na Svjetskom klupskom prvenstvu u Shaoxingu pobijedile Novaru rezultatom 3:0.
Rezultat po setovima je bio 26:24, 25:23, te 25:21 što govori o izuzetno izjednačenoj utakmici koja je na kraju otišla na stranu turskog sastava.
U redovima domaćeg tima veoma dobra je bila Meliha Ismailoglu, djevojka rođena u Gradačcu, no koja nastupa za selekciju Turske, a postigla je pet poena.
Haak je vodila Vakifbank do pobjede sa 23 poena dok je Karakurt dodala 17. U ekipi Novare Brakočević je postigla 16 poena, a Vasileva je imala deset.
Meliha İsmailoğlu je rođena 17. septembra 1993. godine u Gradačcu kao Meliha Smajlović, a 2011. godine je iz Kule Gradačac prešla u Tursku gdje je igrala za İller Bankası, Fenerbahce, Eczacıbaşı VitrA, te sada VakifBank.
Sa reprezentacijom Turske je osvojila srebro na Evropskom prvenstvu ove godine, a također je osvojila drugo mjesto na Ligi nacija u Nanjingu.
Pored ovih medalja ima i zlato sa Evropskih igara 2015. godine u Bakuu i Mastersa u Monteruxu kao i srebro na Svjetskom prvenstvu za igračice do 23 godine u Ankari iste godine.
