Spasioci su tokom noći nastavili evakuaciju više od 1.300 ljudi zarobljenih na pokvarenom kruzeru zapadno od norveške obale, piše BBC.
Cijelu noć je trajala akcija spašavanja u kojoj je sudjelovalo pet helikoptera. Tokom spašavanja pokvario se i jedan spasilački brod pa su dva helikoptera preusmjerena i poslana da s njega spašavaju ljude.
Luksuzni brod ”Viking Sky” poslao je poziv u pomoć u subotu u trenutku dok je na njemu bilo 1.373 ljudi. Brod je nemoćno plutao po moru dok ga je oluja nosila prema stijenama.
Akciju otežava olujno more. Kako piše CNN, valovi su veliki između šest i osam metara.
– Ne možemo kazati koliko će ovo trajati – kaže portparol lokalne službe za spašavanje.
Na brodu je bilo 915 putnika, ostalo su bili članovi posade, a mahom je riječ o turistima iz SAD i Velike Britanije.
Posada je tokom večeri uspjela ponovo pokrenuti jedan od četiri glavna motora i usidriti brod nešto dalje od obale.
Do 23 sata po našem vremenu evakuirano je oko 150 ljudi. Osam osoba je povrijeđeno, od toga tri teže. Spasioci su ljude iznosili jednog po jednog.
