Erdogan i Macron razgovarali o odnosima Turske i Francuske na samitu NATO-a
Nakon dužeg političkog neslaganja između Francuske i Turske, predsjednici dvije zemlje su se susresli na marginama samita NATO-a, najavljujući zajedničku saradnju i popravljanje odnosa.
Na marginama samita NATO-a u ponedjeljak u Briselu, predsjednik Recep Tayyip Erdogan i njegov francuski kolega Emmanuel Macron razjasnili su nekoliko pitanja i izrazili zajedničku namjeru da sarađuju u Libiji i Siriji.
Erdogan je rekao novinarima u petak da će dvije zemlje “imati priliku razgovarati o pozitivnim i negativnim aspektima tursko-francuskih odnosa”.
Prošle sedmice, francuski lider rekao je da su razgovori dvije zemlje vitalni uprkos njihovim razlikama.
Napetosti su porasle između Francuske i Turske posljednjih godina, a Ankara je više puta razmijenila međusobne optužbe sa Parizom zbog politike prema Siriji, Libiji, Istočnog Mediterana i drugih pitanja. Ali u februaru ove godine članice NATO-a najavile su da rade na mapi puta za normalizaciju odnosa.
Ankara i Pariz su se prethodno politički sukobili nakon što su se francuski zvaničnici 2018. godine sastali sa čelnicima sirijske produžnice terorističke grupe PKK, YPG-om. Dvije zemlje su se našle na suprotnim stranama u Libiji, gdje je Ankara podržavala Vladu nacionalnog jedinstva (GNA) sa sjedištem u Tripoliju, koju su priznale Ujedinjene nacije, protiv ofanzive pučističkog generala Halife Haftara 2019. godine.
“Obojica smo to željeli. Mislim da je to dobra stvar. Moramo se vidjeti i uključiti u dijalog,” dodao je Macron.
Dvojica lidera će vjerovatno razgovarati o međunarodnim pitanjima vezanim za sukobe u Siriji, Libiji i Nagorno-Karabahu. Macron je rekao da također želi tražiti pojašnjenje od Turske o spornim pitanjima unutar NATO-a, poput nabavke oružja koje nije interoperabilno sa alijansom i jednostranih operacija, suprotnih interesima saveznika.
Osim Macrona, očekuje se da će se turski lider tijekom samita sastati i sa brojnim drugim svjetskim liderima, uključujući američkog predsjednika Bidena, britanskog premijera Borisa Johnsona i njemačku kancelarku Angelu Merkel.
