Predsjednik Turske Recep Tayyip Erdogan odao je počast povodom 17. godišnjice smrti prvog predsjednika Predsjedništva RBiH Alije Izetbegovića.
Erdogan se oglasio na Twitteru riječima: “S milošću, poštovanjem, čežnjom…”.
Također, turski predsjednik objavio je i prigodnu fotografiju uz citat: “Život je igra koju niko ne može dobiti osim onih koji vjeruju i čine dobra djela”.
Inače, Erdogan je rahmetli Aliju Izetbegovića posjetio u bolnici dan prije njegove smrti.
Erdogan, koji je samo nakon nekoliko sati boravka u Sarajevu avionom otputovao nazad u Tursku, tokom susreta je Izetbegoviću rekao da u srcima i mislima turskog naroda ima posebno mjesto.
