Za sada se ne zna koliko vojnika i kakve jdinice Turska šalje u Libiju. Prema izvještaju Erdogan je govorio o “različitim timovima” koji će preuzeti koordiniranje.
Turski je parlament odobrio slanje vojske u Libiju u četvrtak. Međunarodno priznata vlada premijera Fajeza al-Seraja u Tripoliju zatražila je vojnu pomoć od Turske.
Erdogan je izjavio da njegova zemlja ulaže velike napore kako bi tenzije između Sjedinjenih Američkih Država (SAD) i Irana bile smanjene, prenosi Anadolu Agency (AA).
Predsjednik Turske je poručio i da se njegova zemlja uvijek protivila vanjskim intervencijama u regiji.
“Turska se uvijek protivila stranom intervencionizmu u regionu”, rekao je Erdogan u intervjuu.
Kada je u pitanju ubistvo iranskog generala Qassema Suleimanija, Erdogan je istakao kako misli da taj potez SAD-a Iran neće ostaviti bez odgovora.
“Mislim da je potrebno tenzije staviti pod kontrolu prije nego dođu do tačke na kojoj će sve strane pretrpjeti još veću štetu”, kazao je predsjednik Turske.
Erdogan je gostujući na televizijskom kanalu CNN Turk najavio i posjetu ruskog predsjednika Vladimira Putina, koji će zvaničnu Ankaru posjetiti u srijedu 8. januara.
Predsjednici Turske i Rusije će razgovarati o bilateralnim i regionalnim pitanjima, a dominantna tema, kako je rekao, bit će projekat plinovoda Turski tok.
