Escobar poručio: Dodikove planove ne podržava čak ni Srbija, rata neće biti
Gabriel Escobar, zamjenik pomoćnika sekretara u Birou za evropska i evroazijska pitanja State Departmenta pred posjetu BiH govorio je o situaciji u našoj zemlji.
Escobar, dva dana uoči dolaska u BiH (7. novembar), u intervjuu za Radio Slobodna Evropa (RSE) navodi da će u Sarajevu najprije razgovarati sa ambasadorom Sjedinjenih Država u zemlji, prije nego što najavi eventualne sankcije, ne precizirajući o kojim sankcijama bi moglo biti riječ.
“To je na stolu. Ali želim da kažem ljudima u BiH, neće biti novog rata. Mi, međunarodna zajednica, naši partneri u Evropi, želimo biti sigurni da je naša posvećenost miru i sigurnosti ljudi u regionu uzajamna. Što se tiče oslabljenih centralnih institucija, razlog je korupcija. Ono što Dodik [Milorad Dodik, član Predsjedništva BiH] radi je da želi zaštititi svoju moć i svoj novac. Tražim od ljudi da ne nasjedaju na to“, poručio je Escobar.
Na pitanje da li vjeruje da je on taj koji može presudno uticati na zaustavljanje ne samo anti-BiH retorike, već i konkretnih poteza koje preduzima Dodik, Escobar je rekao kako Dodikovu agendu niko u regionu ne podržava.
“Da budem iskren, Dodikovu agendu ne podržava niko u regionu, čak ni Srbija, s kojom imamo partnerstvo. Ne pokušavam da podijelim Srbe, ali ako vidite šta radimo u Srbiji, gdje podržavamo ‘Open Balkan’ inicijativu [inicijativa o zoni slobodnog kretanja ljudi i roba između Srbije, Albanije i Sjeverne Makedonije], koju smatramo pozitivnim razvojem u regiji. Potpisali smo blizu milijarde dolara paketa pomoći, novo univerzitetsko partnerstvo Beograda, koji je jedan od najboljih Univerziteta, i Budimpešte, Atine, između Jadranskog i Crnog mora – gdje imamo vježbe između Zelenih beretki i američkih marinaca koji vježbaju sa Vojskom Srbije. To možemo uraditi i za Srbe u Republici Srpskoj [jedan od dva entiteta u BiH, drugi je Federacija BiH“, izjavio je Escobar.
“Dodik gura alternativnu poruku, gdje bi radije da vidi kako Republika Srpska postaje Transnistrija (Pridnjestrovlje, separatistički region u Moldaviji koji podržava Rusija] ili Južna Osetija, samo da zaštiti svoje bogatstvo“, zaključio je Escobar, navodeći primjere proruskih separatističkih teritorija u Moldaviji i Gruziji.
