EU: Propuštena je šansa, izbori će se održati u oktobru
Medijatori EU i SAD vodili su intenzivne razgovore sa političkim liderima BiH o sveobuhvatnom paketu ustavne i izborne reforme na nivou visokih zvaničnika proteklih mjeseci.
Borelj ohrabrio političke lidere na posljednji korak
Visoki predstavnik Žozep Borelj (Josep Borrell) je tokom svoje prošlosedmične posjete Sarajevu sarađivao s političkim liderima kako bi ih ohrabrio da naprave posljednji korak ka pronalaženju sporazuma, naveli su iz Brisela.
Dodali su da su tehnički razgovori nastavljeni i narednih dana. Međutim, iako je u ovim razgovorima postignut značajan napredak po svim elementima reforme, stranke nisu mogle postići konsenzus o kojem bi nacrt zakonskih amandmana iznijele Skupštini na raspravu i konačno glasanje.
– Evropska unija žali što je ponovo propuštena ključna prilika za BiH da riješi dugotrajna pitanja. Ove reforme su također hitno potrebne kako bi se napravio iskorak na putu BiH prema EU, baveći se ključnim prioritetima iz Mišljenja Komisije o zahtjevu za članstvo u EU. Pregovori uz pomoć Evropske unije i Sjedinjenih Američkih Država sada su iscrpljeni na nivou visokih zvaničnika.
Rasprava se treba nastaviti u Parlamentu BiH
Važno je da se nastavi rasprava u Parlamentu Bosne i Hercegovine, a posebno da se finalizira set amandmana koji imaju za cilj unapređenje integriteta i transparentnosti izbornog procesa, u skladu sa evropskim standardima.
Opći izbori će se održati u oktobru prema rasporedu, u skladu sa postojećim ustavnim i zakonodavnim okvirom, kako bi se građanima omogućilo da ostvare svoje osnovno pravo glasa.
U ovim vremenima, kada je Evropa suočena sa neviđenim izazovom za svoju sigurnost, lideri BiH imaju posebnu odgovornost da odgovore na težnje građana BiH i učine sve što je potrebno da očuvaju mir i sigurnost, te da osiguraju funkcionalnost, kao i da zaštite jedinstvo, suverenitet i teritorijalni integritet BiH – poručeno je iz Brisela, prenosi Avaz.
