Facebook promijenio naziv kompanije u Meta
Osnivač Facebooka Mark Zuckerberg na virtualnoj konferenciji Connect objavio je da je novo ime kompanije Meta.
Društvena mreža će zadržati ime te će od sada tvrtka Meta biti vlasnica tri velika brenda: Facebook, Instagram i WhatsApp.
“Puno sam razmišljao o našem identitetu dok smo započinjali ovo sljedeće poglavlje. Facebook je jedan od najčešće korištenih proizvoda u historiji svijeta”, rekao je Zuckerberg u četvrtak, dodajući da je to kultni brend društvenih medija.
“Danas nas vide kao kompaniju društvenih medija, ali u našem ‘DNK-u’ mi smo kompanija koja gradi tehnologiju za povezivanje ljudi. A metaverzum je sljedeća granica, baš kao što su društvene mreže bile kada smo započeli”, dodao je.
Na konferenciji predstavljen je i novi smjer kompanije u kojemu se kreće, a to je stvaranje “metaverzuma”.
