Gradonačelnica Sarajeva Benjamina Karić odala je danas počast žrtvama genocida u Srebrenici.
Karić je posjetila Memorijalni centar Potočari i položila bijele ruže na spomen-obilježje s imenima žrtava genocida u Srebrenici.
“Hodajući između bolnih uspomena na ljude ubijene u genocidu pred očima su mi se odvijale slike njihovih posljednjih trenutaka i patnje članova porodica koju cijeli život nose sa sobom. Tu patnju niko ne može olakšati, ali ono što možemo i moramo uraditi je da čuvamo sjećanje na žrtve genocida svaki dan u godini. To je naša civilizacijska dužnost. Ovo su moji dojmovi tokom posjete Memorijalnom centru Srebrenica-Potočari gdje sam odala počast žrtvama genocida u Srebrenici. Iznenađena sam da u budžetu Grada Sarajeva za 2021. godinu nema sredstava za Memorijalni centar. Dala sam obećanje da ću osigurati sredstva u rebalansu budžeta za 2021. godinu, te da će Grad Sarajevo pomagati financijski i projekte Memorijalnog centra naredne četiri godine”, kazala je Karić.
