Očekuje nas teška utakmica u kojoj će se sastati dva različita tima, sa različitim ambicijama, rekao je Holanđanin rođen u Kanadi John van't Schip, selektor fudbalske reprezentacije Grčke, javlja reporter Anadolu Agency (AA), te dodao:
”BiH ima šanse da se kvalifikuje na EURO 2020, dok mi pravimo novi tim. Želimo ostati u ritmu kao u meču prije dva dana sa Italijom u Rimu. Uprkos porazu (0:2, op.a.) igrali smo bolje, ali protiv BiH pokušat ćemo se poboljšati kako u odbrani, tako u napadu. Nastojat ćemo učiniti meč teškim za kvalitetnu Bosnu i Hercegovinu”.
Na pitanje da li će kao u Rimu, i protiv BiH Grčka uglavnom fokusirati se na odbranu, van't Schip je odgovorio:
”Drugačiji protivnici. Italija je odlična, ima sve pobjede i kvalifikovala se na EURO 2020. Za sutra se spremamo da pokušamo odigrati opet dobro u odbrani. Međutim, protiv BiH težit ćemo dodatnoj agresivnosti, ali i željeti više kontrolisati posjed lopte. Vjerujem da će neki naši igrači pokazati novu snagu i samopouzdanje koje smo stekli u Italiji”.
Anastasios Bakasetas, fudbaler turskog Alanyaspora i reprezentativac Grčke nije bio diplomata poput selektora Van't Schipa, te je reprezentativcima BiH poslao jasnu poruku:
”Imamo dobre igrače. No, istina, u zadnje vrijeme nam ne ide kao kolektivu. U Italiji smo napravili dobar korak, iako smo izgubili. Trebamo slijediti plan trenera i od prvog minuta sutra krenuti ka cilju, da osvojimo tri boda. Dakle, želimo pobijediti”.
Utakmica osmog kola grupe ”J” kvalifikacija za EURO 2020 Grčka-BiH igra se sutra, 15. oktobra, na Olimpijskom stadionu ”Sryros Louis” u Atini sa početkom u 21.45 sati po lokalnom, odnosno 20.45 po srednjeevropskom vremenu.
Osim susreta u Atini, u grupi ”J” sutra se sastaju Helsinkiju od 18 sati Finska-Armenija, te od 20.45 u Vaduzu Lihtenštajn-Italija.
Poslije sedam odigranih kola Italija, koja je već osigurala nastup na narednom Evropskom prvenstvu, prva je u grupi ”J” sa maksimalnim 21 bodom. Slijede Finska 12, Armenija i BiH po 10, Grčka pet, te Lihtenštajn sa dva osvojena boda.
