Haris Eminović – Banjalučanin na krovu svijeta
Haris Eminović rođen je 9. maja 2001. godine u Banjaluci. Stoni tenis je počeo da igra sa 11 godina u lokalnom klubu SPIN, da bi nakon poziva današnjeg trenera Jovice Šormaza zaigrao u STKI Vrbas, u kojem je stasao u igrača svjetskog ranga.
Banjalučki parastonoteniser ove godine svoj rad je krunisao zlatnom medaljom, prvom u istoriji za BiH, na Svjetskom kupu održanom u finskom Pajulahtiju. U konkurenciji 170 takmičara iz 33 države u prva dva dana Svjetskog kupa Eminović je odigrao odlično i zauzeo 9. mjesto, a onda u ekipnom dijelu stigao do zlatnog odličja.
Nekoliko dana prije takmičenja u Finskoj briljirao je na turniru Podgorica open, gdje je osvojio dvije zlatne medalje u pojedinačnoj i ekipnoj konkurenciji. U riznici medalja ima, između ostalog, i srebro i bronzu sa turnira Kanjiža open, a isti uspjeh ponovio je i u Nišu.
Svečana manifestacija 19. Izbora najboljeg sportiste BiH, u organizaciji “Nezavisnih novina” i Radio-televizije BiH, biće održana 12. decembra u kongresnoj dvorani hotela “Holiday” u Sarajevu, s početkom u 20 časova, uz direktan prenos na BHT 1.
Predsjednik stručnog žirija je Samir Avdić, a partner Izbora najboljeg sportiste BiH je Olimpijski komitet BiH, krovna bh. sportska institucija. Snažnu podršku pruža i Ministarstvo civilnih poslova BiH.
