Heroji koji su sačuvali Bosnu: 28. godina od osnivanja Armije RBiH
Armija Republike Bosne i Hercegovine (ARBiH) bila je zvanična oružana snaga međunarodno priznate i suverene zemlje Republike Bosne i Hercegovine za vrijeme agresije na našu domovinu.
Osnovana je 15. aprila 1992. godine i taj datum se obilježava kao Dan armije RBiH. Armiju, koju je činilo više od dvjesto hiljada vojnika, formirale su jedinice Teritorijalne odbrane BiH i organizirani dobrovoljci.
Za prvog komadanta, odnosno za načelnika Glavnog štaba je izabran general Sefer Halilović, koji će to ostati do 1993. Za njegove zamjenike imenovani su Jovan Divjak i Stjepan Šiber.
Sjedište Armije RBiH je bilo u Sarajevu, a umjesto Halilovića, komandant postaje general Rasim Delić, koji će to ostati do kraja agresije.
Zahvaljujući onima koji su borbu počeli skoro goloruki i u tenama, ali sa srcem punim Bosne i Hercegovine, “Bosna nije šaptom pala”: Najčešći simbol ARBiH bio je ljiljan, a grb iste je, ustvari, bio grb RBiH uz dodatak zlatnih mačeva i vojnih natpisa. Najveće odlikovanje je Zlatni ljiljan. “Počeli su u patikama, bez oružja, s velikim srcem i ponosom, da bi na petu godišnjicu osnivanja Armije Republike Bosne i Hercegovine na stadionu Koševo dočekali najreprezentativniji ešaloni, njih devet. Bilo je to vrijeme bosanskog ponosa.
Mnogo stoljeća poslije mudrog Kulina bana i slavnih Kotromanića, Bosna je imala svoju vojsku. A s tim hrabrim sinovima ove grude stizala je i sloboda, piše Radiosarajevo.ba.
Armija RBiH izrasla je iz naroda, građana Bosne i Hercegovine koji su osjećali i osjećaju da je ova zemlja njihova jedina domovina. Oni su heroji koji su sačuvali Bosnu. Zato je uprkos užasnim stradanjima godinama prije toga, ta najveća smotra Armije RBiH na Koševu bila satisfakcija i ohrabrenje svim građanima BiH. Poruka da smo preživjeli i da je Bosna preživjela.
