Hoće li “Zmajevi” biti miljenici sreće?
U pet grupa igrat će po pet reprezentacija, dok će preostalih pet sadržavati po šest selekcija
Danas tačno u podne u Dablinu će se obaviti žrijeb grupa kvalifikacija 16. evropskog prvenstva u fudbalu, koje će se održati u junu i julu 2020. godine.
Potpuno drugačije
– Uoči izvlačenja, teško je kazati nešto pametno – kaže trener našeg državnog tima Gordan Ciprić, koji je, umjesto operisanog selektora Roberta Prosinečkog, doputovao u Dablin, te dodaje:
– Laganih grupa nema. Koga god da dobijemo, sigurno je da ćemo morati biti maksimalno ozbiljni. Naravno, dobro ćemo analizirati svakog protivnika, jer danas nema laganih utakmica, pogotovo ako pristup nije pravi. Mi ćemo, u svakom slučaju, sigurno biti maksimalno spremni. Jedino ako smo sto posto spremni, možemo tražiti pozitivan rezultat.
Evropska nogometna asocijacija (UEFA) odlučila je da se predstojeći evropski fudbalski festival odigra u cijeloj Evropi kako bi se i na taj način obilježilo 60 godina od osnivanja ovog velikog takmičenja, na kojem će po drugi put u historiji učestvovati 24 reprezentacije, kao na Euru 2016. u Francuskoj.
I kvalifikaciona mjesta za Evropsko prvenstvo 2020. bit će drugačije raspoređena. Većina reprezentacija osigurat će mjesto kroz uobičajene kvalifikacije, dok će njih još četiri biti izborena kroz plej-of Lige nacija.
Reprezentacije, njih 55 koje su članice UEFA-e, u Dablinu će biti raspoređene u deset kvalifikacionih grupa.
Kvalifikacije za Euro 2020. igrat će se od marta do novembra 2019. godine. Kroz njih će svoje mjesto na Evropskom prvenstvu 2020. izboriti 20 reprezentacija, a preostala četiri učesnika bit će poznata nakon plaj-ofa Lige nacija, koji će se odigrati u martu 2020. godine.
Ako se pobjednik neke od grupa Lige nacija ranije plasira na Euro 2020 – kroz kvalifikacije, njegovo mjesto pripast će sljedećoj najbolje rangiranoj reprezentaciji u grupi novog takmičenja UEFA-e.
U 12 država
S obzirom na to da nemamo samo jednog domaćina, nijedna reprezentacija neće unaprijed dobiti mjesto na završnici nego će sve selekcije to morati ostvariti kroz kvalifikacije. Euro 2020., podsjetimo, održat će se u 12 gradova, odnosno 12 država.
Grupna faza i osmina finala igrat će se u Kopenhagenu (Danska – stadion Parken), Budimpešti (Mađarska – stadion Ferenc Puškaš), Dablinu (Republika Irska – stadion Aviva), Amsterdamu (Holandija – Arena Johan Krojf), Bukureštu (Rumunija – Arena Nationala), Glazgovu (Škotska – Hampden park), Bilbau (Španija – stadion San Mames).
Polufinalne utakmice Evropskog prvenstva 2020., ali i finalna, odigrat će se na londonskom Vembliju, nacionalnom stadionu engleske reprezentacije.
