Iran je u petak predstavio borbeni dron domaće proizvodnje, za koji tvrdi da ima domet od 2.000 kilometara, i nazvao ga je “Gaza”, u čast borbe Palestinaca protiv Izraela, izvijestili su državni mediji.
Iran ima širok program projektila i dronova, a takvo oružje smatra se važnom snagom u odvraćanju i uzvraćanju Sjedinjenim Američkih Državama i ostalim protivnicima u slučaju rata, prenosi Hina, pozivajući se na Reuters.
Zapad vidi iranske projektile kao konvencionalnu vojnu prijetnju regionalnoj stabilnosti i mogući mehanizam isporuke nuklearnog oružja ako ga Iran razvije.

Revolucionarna garda saopćila je da novi dron može letjeti 35 sati i nositi 13 bombi i 500 kilograma elektroničke opreme, izvijestila je državna novinska agencija IRNA.
Zapovjednik Revolucionarne garde, general Hossein Salami, rekao je da je novi dron nazvan “Gaza” u čast “onima koji se u toj zemlji danas suprotstavljaju invaziji i agresiji cionističkog Izraela”, navodi se na web stranici Garde.
