Karim Benzema osvojio Zlatnu loptu
Karim Benzema osvojio je nagradu Zlatna lopta, koju svake godina najboljem fudbaleru svijeta u Parizu dodjeljuje svjetski poznati sportski list France Footbal.
Po prvi put u karijeri 34-godišnji Benzema je osvojio ovu nagradu, a naslijedio je na tronu Lionela Messija koji je prošle godine bio osvajač Zlatne lopte, rekordni sedmi put u karijeri.
Zlatnu loptu je primio iz ruku legendarnog francuskog reprezentativca i svog nekadašnjeg trenera u Zinedinea Zidanea.
U najužoj konkurenciji Benzema je pobijedio Roberta Lewandowskog, Kevina de Bruynea i Sadija Manea.
Benzema je prošle sezone u dresu Real Madrida upisao 46 nastupa, te postigao 44 gola uz 15 asistencija.
Osvojio je špansko prvenstvo i superkup, te Ligu prvaka i prema mišljenju mnogih apsolutno zasluženo osvojio ovu nagradu.
Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) proglašen je najboljim golmanom.
Fudbaler Barcelone Gavi osvojio je nagradu Kopa za najboljeg mladog fudbalera na svijetu. Sadio Mane prvi je u historiji dobio nagradu Socrates, za doprinos fudbalera zajednici, a titulu najbolje fudbalerke na svijetu odbranila je Alexia Putellas.
Nagradu za najboljeg strijelca dobio je Robert Lewandowski, drugu godinu zaredom, dok je Manchester City proglašen najboljim klubom godine.
Od fudbalera iz regije najbolji je bio Benzemin saigrač iz Reala i reprezentativac Hrvatske Luka Modrić koji je na kraju zauzeo deveto mjesto na listi najboljih fudbalera svijeta u izboru francuskog časopisa.
Treba istaći da Lionel Messi i Cristiano Ronaldo nakon 16 godina nisu ušli među deset najboljih fudbalera u izboru za Zlatnu loptu.
