Masterpass omogućava korisnicima da bezbjedno čuvaju informacije o svojim platnim karticama, bez obzira na brend, podatke o karticama lojalnosti, adrese za isporuku i naplatu, kao i sve druge informacije koje im trebaju – to znači da korisnici ne moraju da pamte više lozinki i unose sve svoje podatke prilikom kupovine jer su svi podaci unaprijed snimljeni i sigurno čekaju da ih korisnik odabere jednim klikom ili dodirom.
Masterpass štiti svaki račun putem višeslojnih sigurnosnih mehanizama, a to znači da su korisnici zaštićeni od prevare. Samo zakonski vlasnik može kupovati svojim Masterpass računom, tako što potvrđuje svaku kupovinu lozinkom, PIN kôdom ili otiskom prsta.

E-trgovina je nepobitan trend širom svijeta, a u posljednje vrijeme i u našoj zemlji. Mastercard istraživanje MasterIndex BiH 2017, pokazalo je da BiH građani uživaju u prednostima elektronske trgovine, uglavnom kada kupuju odjeću i obuću (30,79%), elektronske uređaje (16%) i kada plaćaju smještaj za odmor (14,85%).
