Na vakcini zaradili 16 milijardi EUR što je ukupni BDP BiH
Njemačka farmaceutska firma BioNTecha, koja je stekla globalnu slavu otkrićem vakcine protiv Covida-19, ove će godine ostvariti neto profit od skoro 16 milijardi eura, što je ekvivalent ukupnom BDP-u cijele BiH.
S razlogom je promijenjen naziv ulice u Mainzu gdje je smještena firma BioNTech: sada se zove “An der Goldgrube” (Kod zlatnog rudnika) što se odnosi na arheološki lokalitet iz rimskog doba. BioNTech je pravi novi zlatni rudnik koji je otkrio bračni par porijekolom iz Turske, Uğur Şahin i njegova supruga Oezlem Tuereci.
Drugo tromjesečje prošle godine kompanija je zaključila s gubitkom od 88,3 miliona evra, dok je ove godine u istom razdoblju ostvarila neto profit u iznosu od 2,8 milijardi evra! Firma je zvanično objavila podatak da joj je prihod više nego ustostručen u drugom tromjesečju zahvaljujući prodaji vakcine protiv covida 19, prognoziravši da će u cijeloj godini dostići 15,9 milijardi evra.
Navode da su zajedno s Pfizerom do kraja jula ove godine isporučili više od milijardu doza vakcina u više od 100 zemalja i teritorija širom svijeta i potpisali ugovore o isporuci približno 2,2 milijarde doza.
Očekuju da će do kraja ove godine njihov godišnji kapacitet za proizvodnju vakcina dostići tri milijarde doza, a u 2022. trebao bi biti proširen na četiri milijarde doza.
Pfizer je krajem prošlog mjeseca podigao procjenu svog udjela u ovogodišnjem prihodu od prodaje vakcina na 33,5 milijardi dolara.
“Kako bismo suzbili pandemiju koja još nije završila povećavamo ponudu naše vakcine protiv Covida-19 u više od 100 zemalja i teritorija širom svijeta i olakšavamo pristup zemljama s niskim i srednjim dohotkom”, naglasio je izvršni direktor kompanije Ugur Sahin.
