Nakon 140 godina duge tradicije prestaju s radom: Bili su prvi proizvođač ‘Marlbora‘ u bivšoj Jugoslaviji
Nakon što se FDS ugasi ostat će brojne nekretnine diljem BiH kojima je vlasnik bila ta tvrtka, a vrijede na stotine milijuna eura.
Tvornica duhana Sarajevo (FDS), koja je poslovala duže od 140 godina, prestat će s radom posljednjeg dana ožujka, temeljem odluke koju je donio Nadzorni odbor stavljajući na taj način točku na dugogodišnji mutni proces privatizacije te tvrtke, potvrdili su iz sindikata duhanske industrije BiH.
Predsjednik tog sindikata Mehmed Avdagić u petak je potvrdio medijima u BiH kako su ga radnici FDS izvijestili da je nadzorni odbor tijekom siječnja donio odluku o likvidaciji tvornice koja će stupiti na snagu 31. ožujka.
Takvu je odluku Avdagić nazvao razočaravajućom ističući kako je to rezultat činjenice da nitko nije reagirao na brojna upozorenja da se FDS urušava još od 2016., kada je sumnjivom privatizacijom tvrtka Adriatic Investments, sa sjedištem u Beču, koja je surađivala s gigantom British American Tobacco (BAT), od vlade Federacije BiH kupila kontrolni paket od 40 posto dionica po cijeni nešto većoj od 20 milijuna eura.
Nakon toga od FDS-a je formirana nova tvrtka pod nazivom Badeco Adria, a uslijedio je otkup dionica u vlasništvu malih dioničara te niz zamršenih transakcija koje su dovele do urušavanja proizvodnje. Najvrjedniji brendovi cigareta poput legendarne sarajevske “Drine” ili novije “Aure” prodani su, a dio tih cigareta sada se proizvodi i pakira u Rovinju.
“Radnici su na vrijeme upozoravali, slali dopise predstavnicima međunarodne zajednice, financijskoj policiji, vladi FBiH, nema kome nisu slali, ali nažalost nije bilo dovoljno snage da se izbore protiv onih koji su htjeli urušiti tvornicu”, kazao je Avdagić za televiziju N1, koji tvrdi kako su samo prodani brendovi vrijedili najmanje 40 milijuna eura.
Ukupnu godišnju vrijednost tržišta duhana u BiH Avdagić pak procjenjuje na više od 500 milijuna eura.

FDS je bila prvi proizvođač cigareta “Marlboro” u bivšoj Jugoslaviji i jedan od lidera duhanske industrije u bivšoj državi. Nakon likvidacije ove tvornice, utemeljene još 1880. godine, koja nije prestajala raditi ni tijekom opsade Sarajeva, bez posla će ostati oko 150 njenih sadašnjih radnika.
