NATO pozdravio sporazum o deeskalaciji između Srbije i Kosova

NATO je pozdravio sporazum o deeskalaciji i napretku na sjeveru Kosova koji su postigli Beograd i Priština, saopštila je portparolka Alijanse Oana Lungesku.

“Misija KFOR-a predvođena NATO-om igrat će osnovnu ulogu u obezbjeđivanju efikasne primjene ovog sporazuma, u skladu sa Rezolucijom 1244 Vijeća sigurnosti UN-a iz 1999. kojom se KFOR-u nalaže da pruža sigurno okruženje i slobodu kretanja za sve zajednice koje žive na Kosovu”, rekla je Lungesku.

Ona je podsjetila da je proteklih dana generalni sekretar NATO-a Jens Stoltenberg razgovarao sa predsjednikom Srbije Aleksandrom Vučićem i premijerom Albinom Kurtijem o potrebi za deeskalacijom, suzdržanošću i o povratku dijalogu, saopštila vojna kancelarija za vezu NATO u Beogradu.

Ona je za danas najavila sastanak u sjedištu NATO-a specijalnog predstavnika EU za dijalog Beograda i Prištine i druga regionalna pitanja zapadnog Balkana Miroslava Lajčaka sa generalnim sekretarom NATO-a Jensom Stoltenbergom i Sjevernoatlantskim savjetom.

Lungesku je poručila da NATO nastavlja da čvrsto podržava dijalog uz posredovanje EU, kao i druge napore za normalizaciju odnosa Beograda i Prištine, što je jedini put ka postizanju trajnog političkog sporazuma za region i ključan je za stabilnost u cijelom regionu.

Predsjednik Srbije Aleksandar Vučić potvrdio je jučer da je srpska strana prihvatila kompromis za deeskalaciju situacije na Kosovu i da su se obje strane u Briselu dogovorile da se jedinice ROSU povuku sa Jarinja i Brnjaka, simultano sa uklanjanjem barikada.
