Obilježen Dan formiranja 107. Viteške brigade i dan sjećanja na žrtve Gradačca
Večeras je svečanom akademijom završena manifestacija „ Sloboda Kapije BiH za slobodu BiH“ i „Žrtve Gradačca za BiH“. Na svečanoj akademiji evocirane su uspomene i istaknuti uspjesi 107. viteške brigade i gradačačkih boraca.
Jučer je u Gradačcu održana centralna manifestacija obilježavanja dva značajna datuma iz Odbrambeno-oslobodilačkog rata od 1992. do 1995. godine: 5. juna – Dana žrtava općine Gradačca i Dan šehida i poginulih boraca općine Gradačac i 9. juna – Dan formiranja 107. viteške motorizovane brigade A R BiH.
Bilo je ovo prisjećanje na njih 1000 koji položiše svoje živote za odbranu Gradačca i jedine nam domovine Bosne i Hercegovine. Kako bi ostali u našem sjećanju organizatori su postavili izložbu sa fotogarfijama šehida i poginulih boraca općine Gradačac.
Na centralnom spomen obilježju šehidima, poginulim borcima i civilnim žrtvama odbrambeno-oslobodilačkog rata 1992-1995. održan je prigodan program, odata počast i položeno cvijeće. Predsejdnik saveza boračkih organizacija općine Gradačac Sadet Zukić obratio se prisutnima i evocirao uspomene na same početke odbrane Gradačca 1992. godine.
Ratni komandant major Sadan Imamović je istakao važnost 107. viteške motorizovane brigade za samu odbranu Gradačca ali i Bosne i Hercegovine. Rekao je da je to bila poštena borba s naše strane za koju niti jedan borac iz Gradačca nije optužen za ratni zločin protiv čovječnosti.
Općinski načelnik mr. sci Edis Dervišagić je čestitao Dan formiranja 107. Viteške brigade svim borcima sa područja općine Gradačac kao i iskreno žaljenje i saučešće svim onima koji su dali svoje živote za odbranu Gradačca i Bosne i Hercegovine. Danaa nismo ovdje kako bismo u ovoj našoj BiH stvarali neke nove podjele ili mržnju. Prisjećajući se ovih dana želimo da se BiH gradi na istini, pravdi i pomirenju. U ime istine nama je obaveza da budućim generacijama ostavimo u amanet obilježavanje ovih datuma.
U četvrtak su mnogobrojne delegacije boračkih udruženja, Općine Gradačac, drugih organa i organizacija kao i građana položili cvijeće i odali dužnu počast na centralnom šehidskom obilježju u Mahmut mahali, grobu Ivana Mijačevića prvog komadanta ove brigade i na Križu u Ledenicama Donjim.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
