Obilježena godišnjica rušenja Starog mosta u Mostaru
Stari most je srušen granatiranjem Hrvatskog vijeća obrane (HVO) 9. novembra 1993. godine, a s njim i cijela stara jezgra Mostara uključujući i nekoliko džamija, medresu i hamam.
Nekoliko stotina građana Mostara okupilo se danas na Starom mostu, na 28. godišnjicu rušenja najvrednijeg simbola kulturno-historijskog naslijeđa Bosne i Hercegovine, javlja Anadolu Agency (AA).
Simbolično, u 10:16 sati kada je srušen most, što su zabilježile dvije videokamere, prisutni su uz zvuk sirene koja je tokom rata predstavljala signal opasnosti, u Neretvu bacili karanfile, a tradicionalno je izveden i skok bez aplauza.
“Kao i ranijih godina, okupljamo i obilježavamo godišnjicu rušenja Starog mosta, skokom bez aplauza. Malo je ove godine teško zbog vodostaja, ali skakači su navikli skakati i zimi i ljeti, i kada je vodostaj viši i niži”, rekao je u izjavi za medije predsjednik Kluba skakača u vodu “Mostari” Lorens Listo.
Deveti novembarski dan 1993. za njega je, kaže, najtužniji dan u ovom gradu, jer je Mostar ostao bez svog simbola.
“Djeca moraju znati ko je to uradio i zbog čega. Nadam se da se to više nikad neće ponoviti. I za mene lično je taj dan bio najtužniji. Bio sam u ratu ovdje i dobro pamtim sve to. Kasnije sam imao veliku čast skakati na otvaranju obnovljenog Starog mosta i to je bio jedan od najsretnijih dana u mom životu”, dodao je Listo.
I ovog puta na Starom mostu se okupio veliki broj mladih i djece. Mostarski osnovci u školi uče o historiji Starog mosta i barbarskom činu rušenja. Također, godišnjicu su obilježili i u Fudbalskom klubu Velež, čiji su članovi stručnog štaba i igrači također prisustvovali današnjem obilježavanju.
