Petev: Kao mala djeca smo im dali priliku za preokret
Po završetku utakmice BiH-Finska koja je završena remijem 2:2, selektor Ivaylo Petev se na press konferenciji obratio predstavnicima medija.
„Željeli smo da uzmemo sva tri boda, ali nismo uspjeli. Imali smo nekoliko odličnih prilika. Vodili smo, a onda smo naivno primili golove i dopustili Finskoj da preokrene utakmicu. Ipak, na kraju smo pokazali karakter i izjednačili na 2:2. Nije bilo iznenađenja od strane protivnika, jer Finska uvijek igra na način na koji je igrala i danas. Kod drugog gola smo morali reagovati mnogo bolje“, rekao je između ostalog selektor i dodao:
„S obzirom na to da smo imali samo dva dana za pripremu, nismo mijenjali sistem. Dogovorili smo se kako ćemo igrati. Mogu čestitati igračima za pristup i za sve što su pokazali na terenu. Žao mi je što i pored dva gola u gostima nismo uspjeli da ostvarimo pobjedu.“
“Imali smo više šansi od protivnika. Imali smo problema tokom utakmice, ali samo imali i 3,4 stopostotne šanse, nismo ih iskoristili. Imali smo priliku pobijediti 1:0, ali smo im kao mala djeca dali priliku za preokret i vodstvo. Na kraju smo pokazali karakter, zabili smo za 2:2 i osvojili nažalost samo jedan bod”, rekao je Petev u izjavi za Nova BH nakon završetka susreta.
“Smeta mi posebno drugi gol koji je Pukki postigao, lopta ide 70 metara i niko ga ne može zaustaviti. No, sve je to sada prošlost, analizirat ćemo sve gdje smo pogriješili i pokušati da to ispravimo. Žao mi je što nismo iskoristili zicere i pobijedili. Idemo naprijed, poboljšati se i biti još jači”, poručio je Petev.
