Pfizer: Od vakcina protiv COVID-19 u ovoj godini zaradit će 26 milijardi dolara
Američka farmaceutska kompanija Pfizer saopćila je danas da u ovoj godini očekuje 26 milijardi dolara prihoda od vakcine protiv COVID-19, znatno povisivši procjenu zbog ubrzane vakcinacije građana diljem svijeta.
U prva tri ovogodišnja mjeseca prihod od vakcina koje je Pfizer razvio u saradnji s njemačkom kompanijom BioNTech iznosio je 3.5 milijarde dolara.
U cijeloj godini očekuju prihod od 26 milijardi dolara, uz očekivanu isporuku 1.6 milijardi doza vakcina, prema ugovorima potpisanim do sredine aprila.
Do sada su očekivali da će iznositi 15 milijardi dolara.
Predviđaju da će u 2022. godini proizvesti najmanje tri milijarde doza.
– Na temelju dosadašnjeg iskustva mislimo da će vjerovatni ishod biti trajna potražnja za našom vakcinom protiv COVID-19, slična onoj za vakcinom protiv gripe – rekao je glavni izvršni direktor Albert Bourla u pripremljenim izjavama za telekonferenciju.
Pfizer i BioNTech ravnopravno dijele troškove i bruto dobit od vakcina, koje se građanima dijeli u dvije doze, uz stopu učinkovitosti veću od 90 posto, prema trećoj fazi ispitivanja.
Pfizer očekuje zaradu za razliku od, primjera radi, AstraZeneca i Johnson & Johnson, koji su najavili da će njihove vakcine biti dostupne na neprofitnoj osnovi do kraja pandemije.
